Hello, Happy Couples! I am Amanda of Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. I come from a long history of event planners and have been in the industry for nearly a decade. I have innovatively organized thousands of events – from hands-on installation and design to full-scale production. But I haven’t always been in weddings. I have a degree in Anthropology from San Diego State University, with an emphasis on cultural customs, rituals, and superstitions.
What drew me to the humanities side of anthropology was my love of traditions—whether it be respecting those of our past or creating new ones. What pulled me to the science side of anthropology was my perfectionism. I love taking care of all the little elements. It was my job to take a project and meticulously analyze it from every angle.
Eventually, I continued my education; focusing specifically on events and weddings, I got certified as a Professional Wedding Planner at California State University, San Marcos.
My scientifically trained attention to detail, my curated understanding of cultures as a whole, and my years of experience as a designer and producer make me the amazing planner that I am today.
