I am Amanda, owner of Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. I come from a long history of event planners and have been in the industry for years. I have helped with thousands of events—from hands-on installation and design, to full-scale production. But I haven’t always been in weddings.
I started my path as a wedding planner in college. I attended San Diego State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with an emphasis in cultural traditions and superstitions. From there, I actually became a historian and archaeologist for various institutions around California and Hawaii. What drew me to anthropology was my love of traditions—whether it be respecting those of our past or creating new ones. What drew me to the science side of anthropology was my perfectionism. I love taking care of all the little details. It was my job to take a project and analyze it from every angle.
After a few years, I realized my true passion was always in design. So, I switched career paths and began down the road of event production. While getting my Certification in Wedding Planning from California State University, San Marcos, I worked as a scenic artist and props designer for a prestigious production company in San Diego. I have helped create thousands of large-scale, big-budget events—so no wedding can scare me.

I’m Yasmin, an assistant coordinator here at Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. Working in the wedding industry has always been a dream of mine. I always knew that I was destined to do something creative. Growing up with an interior designer as a mom, I was constantly surrounded by art. I instantly saw how beautiful and personal the art of design could be, and I fell in love. I was always making new projects and decorating anything I could get my hands on. After my mom passed away, using my creativity was a way that I could keep her close. I’m so thankful that I get to do this every day working in weddings.0
I attended San Francisco State University and received a bachelors in Fashion Merchandising. During my education, I learned an immense amount about design. While working in fashion retail, I truly strived in the department of visual merchandising. I am such a visual person, and I’m all about aesthetics and details.
Upon graduating, I realized the fashion industry was not for me and I decided to take a leap of faith and become a wedding planner. After my first wedding I assisted with, I instantly knew I made the right decision. I felt like I was on cloud nine, watching this event full of love and happiness come to fruition. I then went on to receive my wedding certification from the LVL Academy. It is so fulfilling to see a couple’s dream come to life and be a part of their special day, hopefully one that they will remember for a lifetime!

I am Amanda, owner of Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. I come from a long history of event planners and have been in the industry for years. I have helped with thousands of events—from hands-on installation and design, to full-scale production. But I haven’t always been in weddings.
I started my path as a wedding planner in college. I attended San Diego State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with an emphasis in cultural traditions and superstitions. From there, I actually became a historian and archaeologist for various institutions around California and Hawaii. What drew me to anthropology was my love of traditions—whether it be respecting those of our past or creating new ones. What drew me to the science side of anthropology was my perfectionism. I love taking care of all the little details. It was my job to take a project and analyze it from every angle.
After a few years, I realized my true passion was always in design. So, I switched career paths and began down the road of event production. While getting my Certification in Wedding Planning from California State University, San Marcos, I worked as a scenic artist and props designer for a prestigious production company in San Diego. I have helped create thousands of large-scale, big-budget events—so no wedding can scare me.

I’m Yasmin, an assistant coordinator here at Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. Working in the wedding industry has always been a dream of mine. I always knew that I was destined to do something creative. Growing up with an interior designer as a mom, I was constantly surrounded by art. I instantly saw how beautiful and personal the art of design could be, and I fell in love. I was always making new projects and decorating anything I could get my hands on. After my mom passed away, using my creativity was a way that I could keep her close. I’m so thankful that I get to do this every day working in weddings.0
I attended San Francisco State University and received a bachelors in Fashion Merchandising. During my education, I learned an immense amount about design. While working in fashion retail, I truly strived in the department of visual merchandising. I am such a visual person, and I’m all about aesthetics and details.
Upon graduating, I realized the fashion industry was not for me and I decided to take a leap of faith and become a wedding planner. After my first wedding I assisted with, I instantly knew I made the right decision. I felt like I was on cloud nine, watching this event full of love and happiness come to fruition. I then went on to receive my wedding certification from the LVL Academy. It is so fulfilling to see a couple’s dream come to life and be a part of their special day, hopefully one that they will remember for a lifetime!
