1 | Marvimon
First up on our list is Marvimon Productions. This company takes old, neglected properties and adds a touch of love to them. They transform these spaces by using a whole lot of water and plants.
The Marvimon has five different event locations: The Smog Shoppe, Flora Chang, Milwick, Valentine, and the Grass Room. Each of these spaces has been transformed into something wonderful and can be the perfect backdrop for your reception or ceremony.
In this guide, we are going to highlight Marvimon’s grandest site – the 9,000 square-foot Valentine. This L.A. venue is specifically designed for courtyard weddings and receptions. It was originally built in the 1920s and stood as a Los Angeles seafood market. Over the years, the Valentine has served as a hotel, oyster company, and even a marijuana factory. The team behind Marvimon didn’t let all that scare them, though, and they turned it into something beautiful – which is why it’s on our list of our favorite unique Los Angeles wedding venues.
This venue is in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, just minutes from great restaurants, hotels, cafes, and clubs. The Valentine can accommodate any size wedding, from 100 guests to 500; it truly is amazing. For those eco-friendly couples, the Valentine is a great venue option because it supports everything green! When Valentine was built in 2017, the goal was to limit the environmental impact as much as possible during its reconstruction. The space was built almost entirely of repurposed material. The result? Its energy efficiency almost tripled. In fact, the greenhouse roof makes for a wonderful natural cooling and heating system.
You are sure to fall in love with the courtyard space for your ceremony. It features magical gardens, tons of sunlight, and a little rustic touch. When the sun goes down, the lit palm trees will light up the night. The sunset dining room will create the perfect ambiance for your reception with its wooden walls, accent lighting, and tropical vibes. And when your guests need a little air? They can walk out on the veranda to see the night lights and feel the city breeze, all while sipping on their cocktail. The venue even comes with a gorgeously constructed cinder cone bar.

2 | HNYPT

HNYPT, otherwise known as Honeypot, is a creative space in Downtown L.A. This space is a 6,000 square-foot, triangular-pitched-roof warehouse.
The idea behind Honeypot is to allow artists to use their creativity to transform this inspiring place. The studio features a ton of great natural lighting, tall ceilings, and exposed brick walls. Think of this unique Los Angeles wedding venue as the perfect blank canvas for your elaborate themed wedding. This space can easily be transformed into a dreamy greenhouse garden wedding area, a modern ceremony site, a bohemian eclectic reception space, and much more.
The Honeypot is fantastic, too, because you can easily bring in your own rentals and vendors and completely make it your own, all while accommodating up to 200 people.

3 | The Last Bookstore
Are you and your beloved a pair of total book worms? Well, number 3 on our list of unique Los Angeles wedding venues is going to be your absolute dreamland!
The Last Bookstore is California’s biggest new and used bookstore. This grand establishment started in 2005 as an ordinary downtown Los Angeles loft. Over 250,000 books fill the walls; it really is a book lovers paradise.
With its book tunnels and indoor cozy vibes, this space is perfect for a small and intimate wedding.

4 | Big Daddy’s Antiques

Celebrating your big day at an antique store is probably not something that would normally come to mind, but let us just say that this space is perfect for that eclectic couple looking for an out-of-the-box wedding.
Big Daddy’s Antiques sells lovely antique goods from Europe, Asia, and North America, and was established in 1996. This spot provides a unique atmosphere that is perfect for a wedding or even an engagement photo shoot. It is the perfect Los Angeles wedding venue to create something one-of-a-kind to you.
Couples are able to use both the inside and outside of the warehouse. The ceremony space is held on the loading dock area. While this may sound discouraging and not the most pleasant, it’s truly an enticing rustic environment (featuring the coolest antiques, of course). 5 | The Hollywood Roosevelt

Hollywood glam with a touch of vintage and jazz vibes? Yes, yes, yes! We love this venue and all that comes with it.
Established in 1927, the hotel has been restored back to its original glory, yet with a modern touch. It is otherwise known as “a modern Hollywood revival.” The wonderful thing about this venue is that they have a large variety of different spaces and packages to choose from and also – a huge plus – they can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 1500 guests. If you are having a grand wedding and want everyone there, this is the space for you.
Locations include The Academy Room, The Blossom Ballroom, the Historic Lobby, and the Rooftop. Our favorite pick is the Rooftop with its breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views. Whether you are having an intimate wedding during the day or an elaborate wedding under the stars, The Roosevelt is one of the most unique Los Angeles wedding venues and we love it. Think about the memorable photos you’ll get underneath the famous Roosevelt hotel sign!
The Hollywood Roosevelt is a fantastic option for couples looking for an all-inclusive venue for that stress-free planning. We think this space would be great for a vintage or even a modern-inspired affair.
6 | The Ruby Street
The last space on our list of unique Los Angeles wedding venues is quite the architectural gem. Built in 1895, this quaint space served as a suffragette house, a civil rights meeting place, and, lastly, a progressive church.
The original restoration plan for this church was to make it a music venue but after so many requests to use it as a wedding space, in 2016, the Ruby Street Wedding Venue was born. The church was then transformed into a beautiful indoor/outdoor venue. The Ruby Street prides itself on carrying on the tradition of bringing people together to celebrate.
The outdoor space includes a garden, deck with furniture, and bar. Your guests will feel so relaxed under the bulb string lights. The indoor space features wooden tables, vintage furniture, an eclectic plant wall, and a built-in wooden altar.
Number 6 on our list of unique Los Angeles wedding venues, The Ruby Street is available to rent for up to 12 hours at a time. The design style of this spot mixes old with new. It still holds some of its original architecture such as the stained-glass church windows and flooring. Couples looking for a unique wedding venue in L.A. are sure to fall in love with this space and its Victorian, yet contemporary, flare.
