7 | The Lafayette Hotel
Soak up the sophisticated retro glam of yesterday with the artsy amenities offered up by the Lafayette Hotel and Swim Club. It’s their eclectic yet retro sophistication, however, that really puts them on the map.

8 | Luce Loft

“Luce” – which is Spanish for “sweet” – is the perfect namesake for this ultra-cool loft. Luce Loft is a bold and beautiful urban development space located in Downtown San Diego.
Housed within the historic 1928 Carnation Dairy Factory, the Luce Loft specializes in hosting unique events here in San Diego. This factory space offers a high arching ceiling, stained concrete floors, sparkling Edison bulbs, industrial doors, intricate woodworking, and large dramatic windows; perfect for any edgy couple and their 150 guests! This industrial space also has a unique feature – an upper level. Ideal for cozy and intimate lounges, the upper level acts as a crow’s nest to the rest of the space.
9 | BRICK
Speaking of unique industrial spaces, check out the Liberty Station wedding venue, BRICK. Relatively new to the scene, this venue’s expansive interior oozes character with its texture and charm.
This large space offers vaulted 30′ ceilings, exposed metalwork, and all the brick your heart could desire. With such a large blank canvas at BRICK, you can really infuse your own character into this space.
Specialty rentals and floral installations are a must for dressing up this venue. Don’t be afraid to go big with this 310-person event space, she can handle it! Beware though, all décor has to be approved by the venue beforehand; that way they can make sure that all their brick is intact for the next event!

10 | Scripps Seaside Forum
Scripps Seaside Forum at UCSD offers a tasteful blend of modern architecture with California’s unrivaled coastal environment. This waterfront location has won multiple awards for its chic architecture, but its sunset views are the real show-stopper.

This multi-functional event space pairs inviting and artistic interiors with state-of-the-art audio-visual compatibility. This venue really is designed like a forum! Its acoustically clever design, however, also boasts an indoor-outdoor foray into an outdoor garden plaza – perfect for the 200-person summer evening event.
This venue has floor-to-ceiling glass windows that empty onto a gorgeous tiled veranda with direct access to the beach. Sail around the Big Bay or just along the coast with this one-of-a-kind floating venue. For their wedding packages, the Adventuress offers a 3-hour charter, officiant, floral arrangements, décor, wedding cake, champagne toast, and onsite coordination. This beauty is certified to carry up to 48 guests, so if a nautical micro wedding is your kind of thing, maybe a little sea-faring is in your future. The Adventuress is also great for those pre- and post-wedding events like engagements or proposals, receptions, showers, or bachelor/bachelorette parties.

The Alta Mar rooftop at Marriott’s Pier South Resort is the ultimate in beach weddings. With accommodations for up to 100 guests, this heated outdoor space has sweeping views of the Imperial Beach Pier, the Coronado Islands, and parts of Mexico.

The Alta Mar rooftop has 180-degree views, fully seen through the large, clear glass railing. There are a few different venue options at this hotel and restaurant, but the Alta Mar Rooftop is the true gem.
