A Bride and Her Girls

Stefanie and Victor opted to get ready separately on the beautiful August morning of their wedding. The bride with her girls enjoyed a momentous morning with mimosas and memories. Even opting to include a glitter and confetti bomb for added fun. Stefanie gifted her maids with matching ivory cotton robes—a nice twist on the classic satin robes we’ve been seeing so much of. This comfy classic is sure to stay in their wardrobe staples for a while.

Stefanie’s dress was altered by the incredible Burcu of Belia Bridal. She is my go-to when planning the perfect San Diego wedding. Burcu knows how to expertly work any gown for any occasion. For hair and beauty, Stefanie opted to for classic beachy waves and a romantic old Hollywood twist. She looked like an elegant mermaid a la Veronica Lake.

A Groom and His Guys

Victor got ready a few floors down at the San Diego Mission Bay Hyatt with his best guy friends. The dapper gentlemen, donned in the finest light blue suits Friar Tux has to offer, enjoyed spirits and stories to help keep Victor from getting too anxious on his big day. The romantic floral patterned bowties tied nicely with the amazing floral details Stefanie spent so much time on.

The Perfect SoCal Details

Florals were all designed, installed, and transported by the incredible team at Flora Glamor. Stefanie wanted lots of pinks, creams, and ivories to match with the amazing succulents at their reception venue, Lot 8 in Mission Valley. Tied to Stefanie’s bouquet was even a memory charm of her late father, so that even then, he could be with her. Pale gold crinkle linens overlaid the tables, with individually lasered-out names for each guest to find their seat. What a cute little take-away for the guests! The couple even opted for gold rimmed champagne glasses for an added element of charm. Flowers were a big focus, and one of my favorite things to do is RECYCLE! Turning over the ceremony flowers to the sweetheart table or reception décor saves on cost and is of little labor lost! Look at how the team at Flora Glamor easily turned the arch piece from the ceremony into a stunning sweetheart centerpiece.

The First Look

One of my favorite things to do to save time on your big day is to have a “first look”. This incredibly sentimental moment relieves the pressure of seeing each other at the altar for the first time and gives you added time to take pictures with your bridal party. Stefanie and Victor found the perfect little garden on the Dana’s lush property for an intimate moment for just the two of them. Well, the three of them including their adorable dog!

A Ceremony for the Heart

To decorate the ceremony space perfectly, we rented the very popular hexagonal arch from Cedar and Pine Rentals. This arch, decorated so lovely with the pink and ivory flowers, helped create the perfect picture frame for this couple to get married in on this amazing August day. To add ambiance to the ceremony, Stefanie also hired an amazing harpist to play Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” as they walked down the aisle.

Cliffside Romance

To continue their tour of everything San Diego has to offer, the couple along with their bride tribe headed to Sunset Cliffs nearby to take dramatic cliffside photos. Look at this stunning backdrop when you are considering a perfect beach wedding in San Diego. As a wedding planner, it is important to account for travel time to and from all of these photo-ops, so we added an additional hour of travel time for guests to mosey from the ceremony in Mission Bay to the reception in Mission Valley. This hour accounted for at least 30 minutes of photos on the small secluded cliff, as well as 30 minutes of travel for the bridal party. Make sure you plan everything out—and account for all details including traffic and parking!

All the Right Food

To continue our fiesta throughout the night, we had to go with the perfect Mexican cuisine! The bar service pumped out Micheladas, Palermo’s, and Margaritas as guests enjoyed the amazing delicacies of Salud! Tacos. Guests were extremely enamored with the Churros provided by Salud! But also, the cinnamon and sugar confections provided by Donut Bar. Each of these vendors are San Diego staples.

Let Love Light the Way

One of the best things about Lot 8, is that they allow sparklers for your event. Because it is a mainly concrete venue with outdoor capability, they are well prepared for a glimmering event. Stefanie and Victor opted for a sparkler-lit first dance. Which was truly memorable. Cheers to the happy couple! I was so proud to help you plan your perfect San Diego beach wedding.
